Biography
Biljana Krstic was born on 27th December 1970 in Obrenovac near Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. She is married, mother of two daughters.
She graduated in “Davorin Jenko” Elementary Music School as a private student in Prof Ana Babić Rakidžić class in 1985.
From 1985 to 1989 she attended and graduated Music School ”Mokranjac” in Prof Aleksandar Bauer class.
She graduated in Faculty of Music - University of Arts in Belgrade, in 1998 in Prof Miloš Ivanović class.
During the study she collaborated with the Department of Composition Faculty of Music Belgrade. Also, she participated in public performances and recordings of numerous works of contemporary Serbian composers, in various chamber ensembles.
As a piano teacher, she worked in the Music School “Josif Marinković”; in the period since 1995 to 2007, and since 2007 works as a professor of piano in Music School “Stankovic” in Belgrade.
As a piano teacher she has achieved numerous awards at national and international competitions. She participated in the work of the jury at numerous national competitions.
Realising insufficiency of national educational piano literature for elementary music school, in collaboration with colleague Dragana Petkovic, she published book, “Exercises and compositions for piano” published in 2005 by “Narodna Knjiga” Belgrade.
Compositions from this book have an international online presentation on Sibelius Music site, Score Exchange, in the PRB Store of Pianist and Composer Philip R. Buttall.

Works from this book, as well as other works by Biljana Krstic, were performed in the country and abroad.
Wide field of activity in music education was confirmed by the publication of papers in professional journals.
Modern approach to the education of the youngest, was implemented creating multimedia packages for children from age 3 to 6 years
Knowledge of informational technologies and the use of computer programs for processing sheet music, sound and pictures, with the knowledge of three foreign languages (English, French and German), allow her realization of numerous professional contacts throughout the world.
She is a member of International Association of Women in Music (Donne in Musica) and the Serbian branch of the European Piano Teachers Association.
