Pedagogy

With great pleasure I would like to say that I work in Music School   "Stankovic " in Belgrade. MS "Stanković" is the oldest music school in Belgrade, and in year 2011 celebrated 100 years since its establishment.  In the center of Belgrade our school has a beautiful Hall with excellent piano and easily every concert can turn into a real pleasure for performers and audience. Like all music schools in Serbia in our school we follow curriculum for elementary music school and music high school and we are well aware that this plan is only a guideline for the work and that good results are obtained with a large amount of persistence and creativity.  My teaching includes students in elementary and music high school. I work with  each student with a lot of attention because I  think  that this is the basis  of  individual classes  where I work  and I am aware  of all the  advantages that  this  teaching has to offer.
Working  with  my youngest  students  is very  exciting  and creative  and  often  full of surprises. Learning rate, interest, creativity, spontaneity and sincerity of the youngest is what motivates and inspires me to creative work. We are doing our best together to create music that is interesting to listen to us and for the audience.
In selection of a recital program we participate together, and after I make a selection of compositions for the intended age, students than can choose compositions that are most appealing to them. This  choice of selection of pieces  is demanding for me as  a  teacher,  but on a daily basis it is improving my  professional  skills:  knowledge of piano literature,  timely preparation for the class and ability  to quickly solve the problem in the work. Children have an extremely developed ability to self-evaluation and, if you are systematic and your work has a clear goals children accept this kind of work with ease and progress continuously. I try to explain music to each student bringing composition closer to the student through different pictures, through stories, through different emotions and imagination.Working with students in high school is extremely inspiring and requires tremendous work and dedication of both teachers and students.

Punctuality for classes, regular and daily practicing are the most important things and without them do not expect results.
The result of hard work - public performance - is extremely important, but learning process must be gradual and with an understanding and only through understanding students will progress further.
Music is a daily joy to my life and I bring such attitude towards music to school everyday and pass it to my students.
Working with my students, my aim is to enjoy music, public performance, cooperation, the progress and the life itself.

On this page you can find  recordings of my students at different Piano Competitions or performances  and at different level of age starting from the youngest.
